A normal Sunday

I slept until 11:30am today and then had a two hour nap this afternoon, so I think I got as much sleep as yesterday :) I'm still very tired, though. I don't really know why that is, but I feel like I've been run over by a truck today. Sigh.

I did plan out a necklace that I'm going to make for myself. I made earrings on the weekend that are sparkly and that I'll take to Vegas. My two new dresses have fairly deep, low-cut necklines and so I wanted something to wear around my neck there. I didn't actually start making the necklace, because I was tired, but I'll do that tomorrow. It shouldn't take that long.

We also watched the remake of The Hills Have Eyes. It's similar but not the same as the original. This one implies that the mutants in the hills are people from a town that refused to evacuate during the US nuclear trials back in the 60s. It doesn't do as good a job of introducing the mutant characters as the original one did. This one is longer as the people fight back better. It might be true that people nowadays would fight back better than the would have 20 years ago; they're more likely to have guns, for one thing, and they'll have watched lots of movies that'll show them how to fight back. I think that we would recommend the first movie over this one. It's not awful, but it's not nearly as scary as the first one.
