Today I spent slightly less time sleeping than yesterday. I also needed fewer painkillers today, so I think that I'm actually getting better. Yay :)
There was a bug on our patio door today. It stayed there for hours, and so I took a couple of pictures of it. They're here. I don't know what kind of bug it is - maybe someone can identify it?

Although this does look like a bug of pure EEEEEEEVILLLLLLL, it's actually a harmless Crane Fly.
Crane Flies don't feed as adults and can't bite. Thay are attracted to lights and commonly wander into houses.
Anybody lucky enough to see a pair mating will not quickly forget the enormous combined size and 12 spindly legs. Such an observer will typically emit bloodcurdling screams and wholeheartedly believe they have gazed upon an escaped denizen of Hell.
I had one in the bathroom the other day, and even though I knew the above information, it scared the crap out of me. Kevin killed it for me.

Vicki
Oh, and your poor bug is short one leg. I hope the ladies still found him studly, because he probably had very little time to impress anyone. They only live a short while (usually a couple of weeks, but the lifespan can range between 1 and 25 days).
Love,
Vicki
